Mateo, one of the co-founders of POLEN Transiciones Justas, holds a degree in Environmental and Sanitary Engineering from the University of Magdalena. During his academic journey, he delved into the study and research of engineering's societal impact, particularly focusing on the role of distributed solar photovoltaic energy as a viable alternative to foster a fair energy transition in communities affected by open-pit coal mining.
